શું છે
Lakshmi Puja is worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the deity of wealth and well-being, with lamps, flowers, sweets and aarti. The main one of the year is on the night of Diwali. Friday evening is the usual weekly day.

- Goddess Lakshmi is worshipped for prosperity, a steady livelihood and a settled, auspicious home.
- Many business families worship their account books on Diwali night and begin the new year under her blessing.
- Worshipped with devotion, honest work and gratitude, Lakshmi blesses the household with abundance, as the scriptures teach.

વિધિ સંક્ષેપમાં
- Clean and purify the puja space. Draw a rangoli with chalk or flower petals
- Set up the idol of Goddess Lakshmi with Lord Ganesha to her right
- Perform Ganesh Puja first
- Invoke Goddess Lakshmi with the mantra: Om Shreem Hreem Shreem Kamale Kamalalaye Praseed Praseed
- Offer lotus flowers, marigold, and tulsi to the Goddess
- Offer sweets (kheer or pedha) and fruits as Naivaidya
- Light all diyas and perform aarti: 'Jai Lakshmi Mata'
- Distribute prasad and conclude with Aarti
